How a nine-month journey with one life coach helped shape the Brand To Business™ framework
Sometimes a client comes to you asking for a website. But once you start asking the right questions, you realise the website isn't really the starting point. That was certainly the case with Sands and Revive Wholeself Wellness.
What began as a request to rebrand a business and build a new website became a nine-month journey through purpose, personality, positioning, offers, branding, digital infrastructure and visibility.
And, without us knowing it at the time, that journey became the foundation for what I now call Brand To Business™.

I first met Sands in 2021 at one of my training sessions. We stayed connected, and over time I got to know more about her work, her personality and the way she approached life.
Later, Sands enrolled in a life skills coaching programme and began considering a completely different direction for her career.
She felt a strong calling to help people who were going through a change in their lives. People who needed support to navigate change, take control of their emotions, shift their thinking and move towards a more positive way of living.
She came back to me and shared what she was planning. And she showed me her website. It was immediately clear that something needed to change. The website had been built using old HTML coding. It wasn't mobile-friendly, and Sands couldn't easily manage it herself, add content or make changes.
But I didn't want to simply give her a prettier website. We needed to build the business underneath it first.
This became the most important part of the entire process. Over approximately nine months, we met once a week via video call. We worked through the business piece by piece.
Not just what Sands wanted to sell. Not just what colours she liked .
Not just what her website should look like.We explored who she was, what she stood for, who she wanted to help and how she wanted those people to experience her business.
Because before I help you market your business, I want to understand the business underneath the marketing.
One of our first challenges was finding the right name. We explored Sands' services, her purpose, her personality and the kind of experience she wanted to create for her clients. Eventually, we arrived at:
Every part of that name had meaning.
Revive represented bringing life back into something. Renewal. Reawakening. A new beginning.
Wholeself represented Sands' belief that wellness isn't just one part of you. It encompasses your mind, body, food, clothing, self-talk, behaviours, habits, emotions and thinking.
And wellness brought the idea together. This wasn't a name chosen because it sounded nice. It was a name that reflected the business Sands was building.
This is something I believe strongly about branding. The brand wasn't being imposed on Sands. We were uncovering what was already there.
I already knew Sands to be gentle, kind and incredibly giving. But there was another side to her too.
She was fiery. Tenacious. Determined. The kind of person who would go out of her way to help someone.
Those qualities needed to be reflected in the brand. So we explored her brand personality and archetype, and used that to help shape how Revive Wholeself Wellness would communicate and show up.
The visual identity wasn't simply designed to look pretty .Every element had meaning. The hands represented support. The hummingbird became an important symbol of tenacity and perseverance.
A tiny bird capable of travelling enormous distances over challenging waters to reach its destination.
The tree represented Sands' belief in her infinite capacity to do good.
And the heart represented the heart-led nature of her work. Nothing was chosen simply because it looked pretty. The visuals had to mean something. They had to feel like Sands .And they had to communicate something to the people she wanted to serve.

Once we had a stronger understanding of the brand, we turned our attention to the market. Who was Sands actually serving?
How did she want to show up for those people?
Who were her direct competitors?
Who were the indirect competitors?
Who were the aspirational brands she could learn from?
We looked at how other businesses positioned themselves, how they communicated and how they presented their offers.
Because having a beautiful brand isn't enough.
You need to understand where that brand sits in the market.
Sands had knowledge, experience and a genuine desire to help people. But expertise doesn't automatically become a business.
It needs to be shaped into something people can understand and buy. So we worked through her services and began packaging her expertise into clear offers.
This was an important step because it connected the brand to the business.
Who I am → who I help → what I help them with → how they can work with me.
That connection became one of the foundations of Brand To Business™.
Only once we had done the groundwork did we move into the website.
I created the website structure and we worked through the build together, step by step. But the website wasn't operating in isolation.
We also built the infrastructure behind it. That included:
The goal wasn't simply to have a website.
The goal was to create a digital home for the business.

Another important part of the process was consistency. The website needed to communicate the same business as the social media channels. The profiles needed to look and sound connected.
The messaging needed to make sense wherever someone encountered Revive Wholeself Wellness.
Because your potential client doesn't experience your business in neat little marketing categories.
They might discover you on Google.
Then visit your website. Then look at your social media.
Then read your About section. Then decide whether they trust you enough to make contact. Every one of those touchpoints becomes part of the brand experience.
We also worked on making the business easier to discover. The website was optimised for search. Google Business Profile was set up. Social media assets were updated.
The different digital channels were connected through consistent messaging. Because having a website doesn't automatically make a business visible.
Your digital presence needs to help people understand:
Who are you?
Who do you help?
What do you help them with?
Why should they trust you?
What should they do next?
This part matters to me enormously. I didn't want Sands to finish the project dependent on me.I wanted her to own it.
So once everything was complete, I handed over the assets and trained her to manage her digital presence herself. We worked through how to edit her website.
How to manage her social media channels. How to update headers. How to optimise her About sections.
How to continue building her presence. Because there is a big difference between having the passwords to your digital assets and actually owning your digital presence.
I wanted Sands to have the confidence and knowledge to take it forward.
Looking back at those nine months, I realised something. We hadn't just built a brand. We hadn't just built a website. We hadn't just "done her social media".We had taken an idea, a calling and a whole lot of expertise and connected the pieces needed to turn it into a business that could show up in the world.
We had moved through:
Person → Purpose → Brand → Audience → Positioning → Offers → Website → Digital Infrastructure → Visibility → Marketing → Ownership
And suddenly, I could see the pattern. This was the journey. This was the bridge between who you are and the business you want the world to see.
That experience became one of the foundations of my Brand To Business™ framework.
Today, I describe the journey in three stages:
Know what you're building before you start marketing it. We clarify your business, audience, positioning, personality, purpose and offers. Because before I help you market your business, I want to understand the business underneath the marketing.
Build the digital home for your business. Your website, social media presence, Google Business Profile, SEO and the digital foundations that help people find and understand you.
Take the business you've built and put it in front of the right people. Your messaging, content, visibility, social media, search and marketing all start working together to help you become more visible and turn attention into opportunity.
Brand it. Digitise it. Take it to market.
Your website isn't your business. Your logo isn't your business. Your social media isn't your business. They're pieces of it.
The real work happens when those pieces connect. When your personality informs your brand.
When your brand informs your positioning. When your positioning informs your offers. When your offers shape your website.
When your website supports your visibility. And when all of it tells the same story. That's when your digital presence starts to feel like you. And that's when people can begin to find you, trust you and choose you.
The biggest lesson wasn't about websites. It wasn't about logos. It wasn't even about marketing. It was this:
There is usually far more business inside a person than their current digital presence reveals. Sometimes they don't need another tactic.
They need someone to help them connect the dots. That's what Brand To Business™ was created to do. And Revive Wholeself Wellness was where I first saw that journey come together.
If you're a founder, coach or consultant with the expertise, experience and passion, but you're struggling to turn all the pieces into a clear brand and business online, this is exactly the work I love doing.
Brand it. Digitise it. Take it to market.
